ST. PAUL'S YOUTH GROUP
1 Timothy 4:12: “Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” The leaders of the Youth Group at St. Paul’s recognize that God has plans for our Youth, “...plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) Our role in the youth is to guide them towards the future God has planned for them, while helping them to be “salt” and “light” (Matthew 5:13-14) in the world today among their peers and families. ?> St. Paul’s Youth involves youth of all ages as we support each other in Christian growth, participate in ministry projects to help others and just plain have fun, enjoying our time together! |

Current Events: * Games Night January 27: Then on January 27 @ 5:30 PM, our whole congregation will be sharing in Games Night in the fellowship hall here at St Paul’s. It’s a night to break out your family’s favorite board games, video games, etc. (we’ll do our best to hook up your system to the TV in the fellowship hall) and share with young and older alike in good old-fashioned family fun with your whole church family. We’ll even have pizza available for your dinning pleasure. Please remember to sign up on the sheets posted on the fellowship hall doors so we know how many people to order pizza for.* Souper Bowl for Hunger: On Feb. 5, a.k.a. “Super Bowl Sunday”, we’ll join with tens of thousands of youth groups across the nation in the “Souper Bowl for Hunger” by receiving a “Souper Bowl Offering” to help feed the hungry in our region and beyond. We’re inviting each person to donate at least $1.00 to the “Souper Bowl Offering”; and since we’ll be collecting the offering in soup pans, we’re also encouraging everyone to “make some noise” with this year’s offering— to donate their loose change for the Souper Bowl Offering. All proceeds from this offering will go to the Quakertown Food Pantry. Clean your couches, raid your penny jar, give as you’re able, and let’s make some noise to help the hungry! And while it’s a while off, be sure to mark February 24-25, 2012 on your calendars— that’s when we’ll be doing our 2012 30-Hour Famine! And once you’ve marked your calendars, spread the word. Invite your friends; tell them what a blast this past year’s event was; get psyched to invite folks to sponsor you (including other Lutheran youth from around our cluster—they only added to last year’s fun!) Our theme— and our perennial goal— is to “Overcome Hunger”.
