HOW TO MAKE THE ".EML" FILES DOWNLOAD READY TO USE
IF SERVICE PACK 2 IS ON YOUR COMPUTER

A very savvy computer lady sent me this "fix" for the ".eml" files.  If you do this procedure, the ".eml" files will load from the internet ready to use.  You will not have to go through the "forward" process.  I did it on my computer and it worked!  I don't know how it will work on other computers.  I do not guarantee results.  But if you want to try it, go ahead.  I am just glad to have the fix.  

1.  Download the following file on to your desktop. 

Attached File  feature_honor_xunsent_in_file.reg ( bytes)

2.  Go to the following Microsoft site and select   download and install "Update KB918766".

3.  Next:  make sure that all instances of the Internet Explorer and Outlook Express are closed. 

4.  Go to your desktop and right click on the file you first downloaded.

5.  Click on "merge" from the popup menu. 

6.  Done.

The procedure will make the necessary registry changes and your downloaded ".eml" files will come up ready to use the way they did before the Service Pack 2 was installed.

4.
