  1. General Hints.

To conserve space (or speed game development) this game has been simplified from other RPG’s in many ways.

2) The scroll of truth, the map, and the ATV.

The story starts out with Alec, the son of a weapons shop owner and his green-haired friend Mina. A beat up man walks into the shop and tells Alec that his father has been kidnapped by Daedalus and his group of bandits. Alec takes off to find him, but Mina demands to go too.

Before you leave town go see ‘old Rob’ in the upper right-hand corner of the town. He will tell you to go to the northwest most cave and find the scroll of truth first. He also gives you the mirror, so you can see how good your weapons are.

Get up to level 5 before you start venturing west. Also, make sure you by an escapipe and some monomate before you go into the cave. In the northwest cave you find the scroll of truth and a door. We’ll come back to the door later. Take the scroll back to ‘old Rob’ and he’ll tell you that Mina is a descendant of Alis! (Damn, Alis had a lot of descendants. She must have ‘gotten around’ a lot after beating Dark Falz. I guess she just has that PS3 mentality that you need to have children to continue the next part of the quest).

Go south to the desert. You can’t cross the desert until you get the ATV, so just explore the gypsy camp. Take the tarot card reading from the fortuneteller and get the Kura. It will come in handy later, as I’m sure you’ve probably already guessed.

Cross the small bridge to the west of the gypsy camp. Once you are about level 10, go to Tinyville, the northeast most town. The cave near that town contains the first boss. Learn the spells protect and terror before you face him. Cast protect on him so he can’t cast mindwarp on you and cast terror so his attacks do less damage. Then he should go down after a few rounds. Once you defeat him, you get the map. You don’t need the map to beat the game, but it can be useful. Venture further into the cave and you’ll find a key to open the door that connects to the first dungeon.

When you get strong enough, visit the two towns to the south (Mektor and Karkato). The southern most town (Karkato) sells Ouzo, an alcoholic beverage. Since every on in the town clamors about it, you know it’s going to be important later. Buy an Ouzo and head southeast to the stonehenge-esque ruins.

After the guard tells you he likes Ouzo you’ll be left standing on the ruins. Use Ouzo while you are standing there to give it to the guard. And in the ancient ruins you will find… and fully gassed and well maintained ATV!

(Hey, this is from the same people who thinks it’s OK to sell shortcake in a dungeon, and have yellow cats eat nuts and grow wings. Don’t be supprised). Once you have the ATV you can cross the desert.

3) Daedalus

Cross the desert. Go to the dungeon directly below the big bridge. Here you encounter many meseta giving enemies and find some neat weapons. Then head east to Porum. You’ll find out the bridge is broken, so you can’t go north to Daedalus’ hideout or Tarrytown. Stock up on supplies and venture south to the ‘lost forest’. It’s good to have the Leave spell and the Dejavu spell for a quick exit. Venture until you find Dirk. Then cast Leave and Dejavu to return to the town. Dirk has the key to stop the flow of the Seliuce river. Go east, then north to reach the Seliuce cave. Turn the lever right 3 times, then left 2 times. The river will dry up so you can cross it.

Before you enter Daedalus’ cave (the east most one) Enter the three other caves first. Each cave has one Lacoian weapon (the sword, armor and shield). Once you are level 20 or so, enter Daedalus’ cave. Try to run from the cops and robot cops you meet before you fight Daedalus. Also, you’ll find an escapipe and a telepipe in the cave.

When fighting Daedalus, have Dirk cast terror on Daedalus and cast Power and healing spells on Mina and Alec. The only offensive magic that works on Daedalus is Adol, which hits about half the time and does about 60 points of damage. It takes a while to defeat Daedalus (150HP), so bring some trimate too.

Once you beat Daedalus, he claims his name is really Lars. He also claims he was posessed by Cablon to take over Alisland. After Dirk fixes him he wants to take you to his master. Don’t give Lars any spells or equipment, as he’s not with you for long.

Also you free Alec's father, Morg, but no-one seems to care. Even though Morg was the reason you started adventuring in the first place.

  1. Cablon

The southeastern most cave (east of the ‘lost forest’) is where Lars’ master is. Here you find Alis in a cryogenic sleep! Alis reveals that she is Mina’s mother and that they were destened to defeat Cablon! Alis does not reveal why her hair is purple instead of brown and why she lost all her spells from PS1. She can only cast Hwen now. Lars also leaves the party and transforms into a barbie-pink landrover!

Buy the best items and spells for everyone then head down to Karkato. Save here. Lars transforms into a boat al la PS3 style, which you use to sail to the final dungeon.

Don’t fight anyone or get any items in the final dungeon. The items you find are much less powerful than the ones you already have. The charmers use medici to fully heal themselves and the dragons can cast bash to do 100+ damage. They take more out of you than the final boss does. After a long trek you will find Cablon, the third and final boss. No magic works on Cablon, so just cast Power and healing spells on everyone. The only trick to defeating Cablon is to use the Kura on him. This weakens his attacks and prevents him from healing himself. If you don't use the Kura, Cablon will always heal himself and the battle will never end! Once you defeat him, head back to ‘old Rob’s ‘ house to see the ending. Yeah it's a short game, but it's an appropriate length for the game gear.
